Nicola had a cracking story for me yesterday. After shopping at Sainsbury's in East Dulwich Nicola stumbled across a slightly bizarre conversation. She overheard an ED Dad addressing his young kids. Jubilant and triumphant from his successful family shop he asked his young kids if they'd like a "treat". "Raw broccoli kids?" asked the dad, to which they replied with unbridled excitement "Yes!, daddy".
This confirms a few things for me about East Dulwich. One, the parents are obviously looking after their kids (by warping their minds into making them think raw brocoli is a treat), and secondly the kids are getting a raw deal. Have they not heard of crisps, midget gems and kinder eggs?
